The Data Management Unit of the Directorate of SERVICOM, Federal University of Lafia, continues to strengthen the University’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and evidence-based service delivery through the effective management and analysis of service-related data.
As a strategic unit within the Directorate, the Data Management Unit is responsible for collecting, organizing, analysing, and maintaining reliable data that supports planning, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of services across the University. By providing accurate and timely information, the Unit enables informed decision-making and contributes to the development of policies that enhance institutional performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
The Unit works collaboratively with faculties, departments, centres, and administrative units to gather service delivery data, monitor key performance indicators, and prepare comprehensive reports that guide management in identifying service gaps and implementing sustainable improvements. Through systematic data analysis, the Unit also supports the Directorate in measuring compliance with established service standards and the University’s Service Charter.
In line with the Federal University of Lafia’s vision of excellence, the Data Management Unit promotes a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven governance. The Unit continually adopts best practices in information management to ensure that service delivery is monitored effectively and that performance trends are accurately documented for institutional planning and development.
